Strategy for SSC CGL

In my opinion, ssc cgl is all about maths & english.  So lets have strategy. Maths: Way of my 9/50 marks to 50/50 marks journey: For basic concept clearing,  you can use Rakesh Yadav Sir class notes.  This is available on flipkart or at your nearby bookstore.   (Maine RY sir se class liya tha Mukherjee nagar, delhi me) For mock tests: kd campus mocks are good.(offline).   (I solved around 50-55 mocks) As per my analysis, no good online mock tests are available.   (I solved no online mocks) For previous year question bank: use kiran prev. Yr chapterwise.  In every chapter, questions are  divided into types which is very useful. (I solved it 3 times) For advance level maths, use quantum cat by sarvesh kumar.   (I didn't touch this book) English: SSC English is more about comprehension and less about grammar. Process after zone allocation of C.Excise Inspector (Chennai Zone Experience)

 Generally dv/physical/medical process takes 2-3 days. But in exceptional circumstances, it may take 4 days also. Document Verification:(Day 1) Report at your CCO at 10 a.m. There, get a sheet and write an application to The Chief Commissioner and put your options for commissionerate. You will be allotted commissionerate as per cgl merit.You will only know your allotted commissionerate when your joining letter will be dispatched. At CCO, when your name will be called, go to concerned table and get your documents verified. In Chennai, DV was very strict. They match character by character. After dv, they will provide you a permission letter for medical. Medical:(Day 1/Day 2) After document verification, you will be given a letter from CCO for medical. You have to go to the assigned hospital along with this letter. For Chennai Zone, the assigned hospital is Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital-Chennai.
